To control the overbreaking of an underground mining development gallery, controlled blasting technique was proposed and as a result it possible to reduce costs improve physical stability periphery opening, achieving greater safety for personnel equipment. With support geomechanical studies, rock quality advancing front determined, serving design drilling mesh choice distribution explosives in respective drills. This study demonstrates that is make progress efficient preparation work, minimal damage roof walls work. Performing simulation with software determines difference between conventional pre-cut technique, optimizing parameters perforation mesh, selection explosive charge, order detonation. As result, found 60%–70% reduction excess excavation, showing better finish tunnel contour, yielding 16% costs.
